Kristin Risan

Kristin Risan er har jobbet med formidling av kunst for barn og unge et helt liv, og har blant annet mottatt Kongens fortjenestemedalje for sitt arbeid. Kristin kommer fra Smalåsen i Namsskogan kommune og tok lærerutdanning på Levanger. Fra 1997 til 2021 jobbet Risan som kunstformidler ved Nordnorsk Kunstnersenter, med hele Nord-Norge som arbeidsområde. I sitt arbeid har hun møtt over 100.000 barn og samarbeidet med minst 200 kunstnere om rundt 600 store og små formidlingsproduksjoner i disse årene. De siste årene har hun samarbeidet med blant annet Thomas of Norway omkring flere større og mindre formidlingsprosjekter knyttet til kompaniets produksjoner.
Kristin Risan has dedicated her entire career to art education and outreach for children and young people, and has received the King's Medal of Merit for her work. Originally from Smalåsen in Namsskogan Municipality, she completed her teacher training in Levanger. From 1997 to 2021, Kristin worked as an art educator and mediatorat the North Norwegian Artists' Centre (Nordnorsk Kunstnersenter), covering the entire region of Northern Norway. Over the years, she has engaged with more than 100,000 children and collaborated with at least 200 artists on approximately 600 outreach productions of varying scales. In recent years, she has collaborated with Thomas of Norway, among others, on several outreach projects - both large and small - linked to the company’s productions.
