"He, Siren?" er et kontemplativt danseverk som tar publikum med på dypt vann. Mens vi leter i dypet, kan vi både søke etter og prøve å unngå andres blikk. Vi kan prøve å kopiere andres kroppsspråk, holde andre på avstand, samtidig med en nysgjerrighet og søken etter tilhørighet og aksept.
I "He, Siren?" har Thomas of Norway utforsket identitet og tilhørighet, i en verden hvor vi stadig overøses med idealer, ideer og tips til hvordan vi kan lykkes i livet – både det indre, det ytre og det sosiale. For noen er dette det enkleste i verden. For andre er det en kamp. I denne soloen utforsker Thomas of Norway måter å finne frem på, både over og under overflaten. Instinkt møter bevissthet. Det selvbevisste møter det selvkritiske. Fra utprøvning til det tvangsmessige. Hva venter i enden?

"He, Siren?" is a contemplative dance piece that takes the audience into deep water. While we search in the depths, we can both search for, and try to avoid, the gaze of others. We can try to copy other people's body language, keep others at a distance, while at the same time being curious and searching for belonging and acceptance.
"He, Siren?" explores identity and belonging, in a world where we are constantly showered with ideals, ideas and tips on how to succeed in life - our inner, physical and social life. For some, this is the easiest thing in the world. For others, it is a struggle.
In this solo, Thomas of Norway explores ways to find our way, both above and below the surface. Instinct meets consciousness. The self-conscious meets the self-critical. From testing to the compulsive. What awaits at the end?
He, Siren? is Thomas of Norway's 15th anniversary performance, and will premiere September 13th in Melbu in Vesterålen at Neptun Sildoljefabrikk.
